Hey, friend! I’m Melissa, owner and founder of Just Like Joan.

Just Like Joan was born with the launch of our first product in June of 2020. There’s been a lot of change since then — including selling the company in 2022 and having it returned to me three years later — but my heart remains the same for this business: to create quality products that enhance your everyday life.

You may have found our goods on a large platform like Amazon, Walmart or Etsy, but we’re a small business through-and-through. I run Just Like Joan out of our home in Phoenix, Arizona, right alongside my husband and three world-changers, who we homeschool.

Whether you’ve been around since the beginning, or just purchased from us for the very first time, I’m glad you found us and am so glad you’re here.

THE NAME

Just Like Joan was inspired by Joan of Arc.

I was thinking of all the women I wanted to serve through this business. Those who would be using our products in their everyday life, maybe often doing mundane chores or seemingly-routine things.

And even though those tasks can sometimes feel insignificant, the truth is, there’s a calling inside every single one of us.

A passion. A fire. A courage.

Even in the day-to-day.

We may not be leading armies, but we’re leading someone.

My hope is that every time you see the name, Just Like Joan, you’d be reminded of your own significance and your wildly-important calling.

And that even the small things can be holy.
